Hello and thanks for visiting the LB Local site. This site began as an effort to help artists and small businesses in the Long Beach area network. Pinched between the behemoth of LA and the mega-city that is the OC, people often forget that Long Beach is a unique city of its own, about the size Atlanta. So the goal is to help get the word out about local stuff.

I am a homeowner in the Cal Heights district who, for sixteen years, made a living as a chef. The last seven of those sixteen years I owned a catering company. And now I put my efforts into stone carving and The Nomad Circus, and artis group that is is seeking an alternative to the gallery system and want to create a venue that is supportive of artistic aspirations. It is our goal to organize events that showcase original art works in a creative and supportive environment that reflect the exuberance and passion of the artistic struggle.
